Trainer Policies for Stanford Self-Management Programs
|
|||||||||||||||||||||
Stanford will authorize Leaders, Master Ttrainers and T-Trainers. All components of Stanford self-management programs are taught by pairs of Leaders or Trainers.
- Leaders are authorized to teach the Self-Management Workshop. To become a Leader, one must complete Leader training and have taught at least one workshop in the first year after training.
- Master Trainers are authorized to train only Leaders to teach the Self-Management Workshop. To become a Master Trainer, one must: 1) complete Master training, 2) co-facilitate at least 2 workshops in the first year.
- T-Trainers are authorized to train Master Trainers and/or Leaders. This authorization will only be granted after an apprenticeship training with a Stanford staff trainer. To qualify for an apprenticeship, one must have facilitated at least 2 workshops and 3 Leader trainings. If you want to become a T-trainer you need to complete the T-Trainer application: https://med.stanford.edu/survey/t-trainer/.
Leaders are certified by the Master Trainers who train them, after successfully co-leading 1 workshop. They must facilitate one workshop every 2 years in order to remain certified.
Master Trainers are certified by Stanford and/or by the T-Trainers who conducted their Master training by notifying Stanford that the individual meets all Master Trainer requirements. Certification goes into effect once Stanford has received their signed MT Authorization. To remain a certified Master Trainer, they must facilitate one Leaders training or workshop per year following certification.
T-Trainers are certified by Stanford. To remain an authorized T-Trainer, you must conduct at least one (1) master training OR two (2) leader trainings every two years.
