  4. One of my plans has recently expired. Can I still update its progress?

Yes. All information for both expired and current plans can be edited at any time. To update an expired plan's progress: locate the plan under "Previous Plans", select the plan, and update its progress the same way you would for a current plan.

  5. Can I create more than 3 current plans at one time?

No. This is to help you be as successful as possible in the plans that matter most to you. By imposing a limit of 3, we hope this can help you can really focus on those few, select plans. In fact, we hope you will start with only one.

  6. Some of my very old plans appear to be disappearing. Why does this happen?

The app currently automatically deletes all plans that are more than one year old. My Action Planner is purposely designed this way to conserve space on your phone or tablet.

  7. None of the default categories seems appropriate for my plans. Can I create my own?

Of course. In any place where you can select a category (when you select a category for a new plan, when you change the category of an existing plan, or when you use the filter in "Previous Plans" or "Charts"), you will notice a gear icon at the top of the selector (see image below). This button will take you to a page where you can add categories, delete categories, and even rename categories.
  8. Locate the Gear Icon -> Categories Display

  9. Is there a way to get rid of or bring back the help pointers?

Yes. First exit the app and go to "Settings". At the bottom of the page, you will notice a list of all the apps on your phone or tablet.
Locate "Action Plan", and select it. You will be taken to a page with 2 setting options: "Show Help" and "Default Categories". If you want the help pointers, change the setting "Show Help" to "ON", or if you want to get rid of the help pointers, change the setting to "OFF". Special note: each help pointer will no longer pop up after that specific help pointer has popped up 3 times.
  10. Settings -> Locate Action Plan -> Change the Setting

  11. Can I create plans that are longer or shorter than 7 days?

No. All Action Plans are one week long. If you wish to continue a plan for another week, My Action Planner offers a quick and easy way to do so. For any existing plan (whether expired or current), there is an option labeled "Use Plan as Template". Provided you have fewer than 3 current plans, "Use Plan as Template" will automatically take you to a Create a New Plan screen with the new plan description, title, category, and confidence level already copied over from the original plan. All you have to do to complete creating the new plan is selecting a new start date, and choosing a new confidence level for the new plan.

  13. What happens if I do not evaluate my expired plans?

Nothing. The plan will still become a previous plan; however, we highly encourage you to self-evaluate your success after each plan expires. Reflecting on how successful you are in your plans can help you truly gauge how satisfied you are with your progress.

  14. Why isn't my "Use Plan as Template" button working?

Please check to see if you already have three current plans. You are only allowed a maximum of 3 current plans. To use the template, you must have no more than 2.

  15. What does the "filter" button in "Previous Plans" and "Charts" do?

Filter allows you to narrow the information on these pages to display only those plans of a specific category. For example, you can use a filter to list only previous plans belonging to the "Physical Activity" category or view a chart showing the information just for plans under the "Healthy Eating" category.
